"Don't Fast."
No... 21 units and incredible lack of sleep has not driven me crazy.

Just watch the video and hit the jump for more info.

Don't fast.
from Living Water International on Vimeo.

Alright, you watched the video. Now what? Well this is what Living Water International suggests:
Sometime during Lent (February 25 - April 11), take the H2O Challenge. For two weeks, make water your only beverage. Save the money that you would normally spend on sodas, coffee, juice, milk, and sport drinks. At the end of the two weeks, send the money you saved to Living Water International for the drilling of wells in needy communities. Challenge your church, your youth group, your class at school, your club, or the rest of your family to take the H2O Challenge with you. Then come back to water.cc to see what happened.

What difference can you make? If you saved a dollar a day for two weeks, you could provide three families with clean water for a year. If you got your friends, your church, or your youth group to do it with you, you could reach a whole village. Or more. Every bit really does make a difference.

This would be something cool to do leading up to a TGIF, or maybe even something to promote for one of the Passion Play Shows. I dunno... just throwing out ideas here. And I am sure you all are taking up donations for Operation Rice Bowl and Catholic Charities. That's all good. But whether or not you fundraise for Catholic Charities or Living Water, or both, or any other wonderful organization, remember the power of prayer, fasting and almsgiving during this season of Lent. "Small things, with great love."

Be God's. Be The Straw.

"The Way" #566

"You say there are many occasions of going astray in such surroundings? That's true, but aren't there any guardian angels as well?"

We may think that there is no one watching when we do bad things. But there is. Not only God, your Guardian Angel is watching you. Just like how Yuna had her guardians *pushes eyeglasses*, we have a guardian angel(and yes they are better that Auron). They were given to us at our birth by God and they stay with us as long as we are on earth.

I remember when I was in 2nd grade...I think...I was taught the prayer.

Angel of God, my guardian dear
to whom God's love commits me here.
Ever this day (night) be at my side
to light, to guard, to rule and guide.
Amen.

I still say that prayer. I think it is amazing that we have an angel there with us all the time. So we are never alone. It helps us not to do bad things, when we know there is someone out there watching us. Not only to they watch us, but they pray for us also! Ask them for their intercessions.

Fr. Barron on LOTR

Raj posted a video about "The Catholicism Project." I was looking on his youtube page a noticed that he comments a lot about movies.

His videos are very inciteful. And I thought the video about The Lord of the Rings was especially imformative and very cool.
