#537 and #529 (Say what!?!? Two!?!?)

I might be able to post tomorrow so I will do two today.

"When you approach the tabernacle remember the He has been waiting for you for twenty centuries."

" 'The Mass is too long,' you say, and I reply: 'Because your love is too short."

"When you approach the tabernacle remember the He has been waiting for you for twenty centuries."

I see it every time I go into the inner sanctum of St. Catherine of Siena. Before I thought of it as a cool looking ornament, but it is way more than that. Inside the tabernacle is Jesus..Himself! The bread that transformed through transubstantiation lies within it. The tabernacle is a prison that Jesus lovingly stays in. He could be anywhere in the world but He decides to be there. That is why we genuflect every time we cross the tabernacle. In it lies the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords waiting for us.

" 'The Mass is too long,' you say, and I reply: 'Because your love is too short."

We all have dealt with this in sometime of our lives. We would go to Mass and it seems like it takes fffoooorrreeevvvveerrrr! I know I do. We need to focus on Mass. Amazing things happens during Mass. One of them is Transubstantiation. That is when the bread and wine are transformed into the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. Matt Maher described it in a song as "Heaven kisses Earth." We can not see that anywhere else. We receive Jesus in the Sacrament of the Eucharist. We hear Jesus' words in the Gospel. When you finally are able to understand what really happens during a Mass, you can never get tired of going. I am starting to get an understanding of the Mass. It has taken awhile but I know I will learn more and more.
