"You're bored? That's because you keep your senses awake and your soul asleep."

I found this to be very interesting and funny because when someone tells me that they are bored, I have the perfect rebuttal.

How can you be bored with Jesus? You can't! Open up. I'm still trying to do that. I used to go to Adoration and wonder how people can be here for an hour or more. After a good ten minuets, I would be bored. Or when you are praying with others and you hear how they pray and wonder why you can't pray like that. Don't be discouraged if you can't pray for a long time or be able to pray like those you see or hear.

We need to be more open. Open up your heart and soul to God. We use our senses all the time and it can become a distraction when it comes to prayer or going to Mass. Shut them down and let God in. You should never be bored because you can always improve. As my friend always says "Let go, Let God."

Missal Command #4: Gloria pt. 2

I just read this article about how we are being encouraged to talk about the new missal, so I thought I would do a new Missal Command.

I really should have done this before Lent since we don't sing the Gloria during Lent (except for a few exceptions), but here goes anyway. Enjoy.

Gloria Part 2
Current Text:

Lord Jesus Christ,
only Son of the Father,
Lord God, Lamb of God,
you take away the sin of the world:
have mercy on us;
you are seated at the right hand of the
Father: receive our prayer.
For you alone are the Holy One,
you alone are the Lord,
you alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ,
with the Holy Spirit,
in the glory of God the Father. Amen.

New Text:
Lord Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son,
Lord God, Lamb of God,
Son of the Father,
you take away the sins of the world,
have mercy on us;
you take away the sins of the world,
receive our prayer
;
you are seated at the right hand of the
Father, have mercy on us.
For you alone are the Holy One,
you alone are the Lord,
you alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ,
with the Holy Spirit,
in the glory of God the Father. Amen.

As always, if you have any questions, post a comment.
