Today is the first day of Vocations Awareness Week, Read more about it here.

Where should we start? Eh, how about figuring out exactly what a vocation is and how to discern one. Sounds good? Yea? Well you probably don't want to hear me talk about it... But, luckily, theologian and co-author of the great book "I Choose God," Chris Cuddy is here and he does a pretty nice job addressing the notiong of Vocation. Take it away Chris:

  • Vocation.com - this site has a lot of stuff you can look through, and there's a FAQ about consecrated life.
  • Vision Vocation Network - They have a vocations guide, where you can look over a bunch of different orders. Also, there's a vocation match program they have, and you can fill out a bunch of questions, and they will look over it and suggest a few orders that might best fit you.
  • Sacramento Diocese Department of Vocations - and they have a section listing the different orders and communities that have a presence in the Sacramento Diocese. There are also links to these different orders. Also, visit sactownseminarians.blogspot.com
