TGIF (In a nut shell)


Ok. TGIF will be held this Friday 31st, at Auntie Gene's house. (263 Sandyneck Way) Arrival time is 6 PM so be there! And if you have any friends who would like to come, please invite them! Even if they didn't go to the intro retreat. We still want them to come =)

Anyway, so I've been asked to elaborate more on TGIF. For those of you who don't know what it is, TGIF stands for Teens Gathered In Fellowship. (Or Thank God It's Friday) It is basically out regular fellowship, prayer, work party kind of thing. Its evolved over the years had its high points and stopped happening for a while. Now, we finally are bringing them back!

So the three main parts of TGIF are:
-Food and Fellowship
-Liturgy Discussion(LD)
-Praise and Worship

These are what make the base of TGIF. But it doesn't stop there. Sometimes they can be seasonal, like Easter or Christmas themed. Or they could be really spiritual sessions. Or it could be learning new songs for praise and worship (Eddy may even do guitar workshops with some people!) Some TGIFs may even be just time to kick it. Many TGIF's are the birth places of so many inside jokes....So basically, don't have any expectations of TGIF except what days of the month it will be.

TGIF will be held on every 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month. (Unless if there is occasion on that day. Where the TGIFs are hosted depends on who volunteers to give their house. The idea behind this is so that parents can see how CYM operates and what we do so that they don't think we're just playing around all the time. Oh, if you do volunteer your house, make sure you ask your parents first! Hahaha.

But yes, I'm really excited about TGIF. I'm looking forward to more in the future, and I hope you are too!!!
