[Bump Note : Times for auditions have been changed!]
Wow. I'm early for once hahaha. And for good reason too. This week is going to be packed with some important stuff so make sure don't miss anything!

So what exactly is so important?

Number One: Passion Play auditions start tomorrow and there will be auditions held throughout the week.

Number Two: With the inauguration of President elect Barrack Obama in two days, there will be a fierce struggle for Obama to change his mind on the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA), which he has promised to sign as his first act as President of the United States.

More info on these subjects in the full post.

Passion Play
Passion Play Auditions are finally here! This year, the 12th Passion Play is Entitled "Thy Will Be Done," written by Juan (Sorry, forgot how to spell your last name). If you would like to try out for this year's Passion Play, please try to make it to one of the following audition dates!

(Times have been changed a little!)
January 19 (Monday): 11AM-1PM @ Auntie Gene's House (263 sandyneck way)
January 21 (Wednesday): 3PM-7PM @ Auntie Gene's House
January 23 (Friday): 3:30PM-5:30PM @ Auntie Gene's House
January 25 (Sunday): 1PM-3PM @ St. Cat's Rectory
January 28 (Wednesday): 3:30-5:30 @ Auntie Gene's House
January 30 (Friday): 3:30-5:30 @ Auntie Gene's House

The Passion Play Script is currently under construction!

If you plan on watching it only, I would recommend not reading it, just so the play is more enjoyable =)

If you plan to act or sing, please prepare your lines or your song that you will be trying out for. Even if you do not want to perform, you can still come to help in the readthroughs of the script and you may input constructive criticism to make the overall script better.

Walk For Life
Second on the list is Walk For Life, which will be held on January 24th. Please come out and support the fight against abortion. With the coming of Barrack Obama's inauguration into office, he will soon be signing FOCA, which will effectively erase any efforts to stop or limit abortion. Please help us to change the soon to be President's mind by coming out to support the Walk For Life, or by getting your parents, family, or friends who are 18 years and older to sign a petition against the passing of FOCA. I forgot the link to that one, but I will post it up when I do get it.

For those planning on going to Walk for Life, and would like to get a ride with the rest of the youth, please arrive at St. Catherine by 7:30 for a holy hour of prayer before we leave. We will be leaving at 8:30, so that is the absolute latest time that you may arrive. No arriving in Filipino time folks! If you cannot make this time, you can still get a ride to San Fransico some other way if you really wish to go.

Here's a list of things that you should bring:
-$10 Dollars for BART Transportation
-Water (It is a long walk)
-Comfortable shoes
-Backpack (For holding water and goods you may get from the Walk For Life tents at the end)

We should be getting back to Vallejo by around 4 PM. Also another note:This is NOT a CYM event.

You can find more info about Walk For Life by following this link: www.walkforlifewc.com

That's it for now. So please, spread the word about Passion Play auditions and Walk For Life!

Signing out,
Jon M.

On retreat.

Rence and I will be on Silent Retreat for 5 days, so this will be the last you will hear from me until then.

Please keep us in your prayers, as well as all the seminarians here at Mt. Angel.

You will be in ours.

From yesterday's first reading:
"Speak, LORD, for your servant is listening."

p.s. I will see some of you on Saturday. Yay!
