Catholic Testimony

Here's a testimony from a young guy about his conversion. Well...some would call his experience a "re-version", for Mark was a Cradle Catholic; he didn't convert from another religion or denomination. Regardless, his heart and mind and LIFE did change. Like St. Paul, Mark "put away the old self of [his] former way of life, corrupted through deceitful desires...and [he] put on the new self, created in God's way i righteousness and holiness of truth" (Ephesians 4:22, 24).

Remember, testimonies like this serve to strengthen and encourage you in as you pursue Christ (who, by the way, is pursing you with an even greater intensity than you could ever pursue Him). However, to get the fullness of Mark's message, you must not only realize the great love that God has for you and the limitlessness of His mercy, but you must also recognize the situations you're in--perhaps situations similar to Mark's--and avoid the pain that he went through by not engaging in certain behavior and subscribing to certain beliefs in the first place.

"Always be ready to give an explanation to anyone who asks you for a reason for your hope" (1 Peter 3:15).
