O tempora! O mores!

Hello everyone,

The Latin portion of this post's title translates roughly as "Oh what times! Oh what customs!" It was used by the Ancient Roman orator Cicero when he talked about how bad the Roman republic had become by his time. I probably will have more posts like this in the future where I'll highlight some particular news story that shows us how sadly ridiculous our increasingly secular world is becoming and how much more we are called to live out and preach the Gospel to counteract such trends.

My Brothers and Sisters, I give you a most interesting story from our neighbors north of us in Canada.

Read the story. It would be quite hilarious if it wasn't true.

Essentially, a 12-year-old girl breaks the rules at her house. Her father disciplines her through a good old fashioned grounding. She appeals to the courts and... they find in her favor. So good old dad has to repeal his punishment and let her out.

I don't even want to begin ranting on this...
